Just doodling away.....

I really don't know what I am doing these days. I sit down to draw and have no inspiration... can't figure out my style... don't know what to write... Just going through a dry spell. Anyway here is this weeks attempts.

Yeah, it is hit and miss alright..........

I have been enjoying the grandkids so much lately and had to laugh when I came across this quote..... On the other hand some of the work I have done lately has been a bust, had one background that I really liked and did some 'greenery' over it, then the gold pen leaked and totally ruined it;

also some backgrounds are nice, then I realize they are too dark for the printing to stand out. Back to the drawing board......

I never get sick of doing this.............

Not much new this week, just thinking about my life and the different directions it has taken and where I want to go next.... I like using the different backgrounds here, and finally am brave enought to put something on them(after mucking one up).

I think I need to be more original.....

I am okay with what I did this week, but am working on learning my own style. I copy from everywhere, my art classes, different blogs, etc.. I dream at night about what I want to put on paper, then can't do it in daylight.... I have been working on different backgrounds as well this week, now I don't want to spoil them by putting printing on top.

Things are changing around here.....

Big changes going on here. Some people have a brand new house, some have new teaching jobs, some have some exciting prospects on the horizon, others have gone away to work .... I am still here, still same job, house , but you never know...

Still learning.....

I have been learning new techniques for lettering and making art journals. Have done a ton of stuff this week that I didn't like, but this was okay.... I am slowly figuring out my own style and find that I don't like my pages to be too full or too sloppy. Anyway, for what it is worth, this is this weeks attempt at creativity. Oh, the music bit is because I joined the orchestra again.

Taking a new class.....

This has been an interesting week. Among other things, I have been taking a new online class and totally enjoying it. This class teaches a completly different technique. I have joined an online group, and man, the talent out there! I don't know if I should be inspired or intimidated !
