I've had a little holiday.....

I've been down south for a wonderful holiday with frends and family. I found art journaling a wonderful way to document our time down there. I actually had many more pages than this - laughter, shopping, valentine, etc... but here are a few. I'm in the process of taking another online course and enjoying it lots.

Need to take another class !

I have been pretty diligent on working on journal pages lately. Here are some from this week.Martin had some cardiac tests this week, hence the 'hearts'. The tests came back good, hence the 'celebrate'. Had some pretty important birthdays this month, will maybe post that page another time... Can't wait to start my new online course next week....

Still at it....

I am still dabbling with my markers, pens and stuff. Have signed up for another journaling course. Love doing it, but so far I just seem to be copying other's ideas. I also still seem to have some 'empty' spots on my page - not sure what to put in there. I see some blogs where the journal pages are FULL and they look great, with mine, it just looks like I am trying to full up space. Well no better way to improve than by practising....

I am loving this...

I have hardly put down my new art supplies this week. Love it , but have a long way to go. I have signed up for an online art class . Calligraphy using color and inspiring ideas. So hopefully these posts will get better.....

I have checked out a few blogs that combine caligraphy and color. I do very poor imitations, but am enjoying it so much !

I love angels............

Angels have a special meaning for our family. I made some out of wire this Christmas season. They were way harder than I thought they would be. It took me all one evening to squeak out two attempts. I had to find rocks under a bridge (no snow there)and wire from hubby.....

Tis the Season.............

Since we are having lots of family for dinner this week, I thought I would make some table decorations. We are eating in the 'common room' of our condo complex and I wanted a festive look.....
